We all know he is a hog lock. Even though Anderson has showed time and time again he can NOT keep high in state talent in state.
Beard likes the way MU plays, not that 40 minutes of hack a shaq crap.
He is not flipping to Arky so you should deal with it.
Arky is irrelevantly relevant in basketball. Relevant because of 1994, irrelevant because these kids do NOT care about 1994. You guys have done nothing since then and Uncle Mike will never lead Arky to an SEC title or championship.

Haha every player in the U.S. is a "Hog Lock" right? I know it kills them that we came and snagged him out of their back yard but the simple fact remains....He was not related to Mike Anderson so they had no chance.

Mike Anderson rebuilt your dead program, remember that? And he's got two years to flip Beard. The hogs are on their way back.

Beard does look like a stud. Gotta love that smooth left handed shot.

I remember CMA doing NO recruiting and not finishing the scheduling for the 2011-2012 season all while maintaining that he wasn't leaving. The reason for our non-conference schedule being so poor is because Haith had to schedule anybody he could. I also remember the team falling apart his last season. As well as losing at nearly every away game. He did turn us around, but he left us in a sh*tty way. I don't blame him for wanting to go back to Arky, we all knew that was his dream job, but he did it very unprofessionally. That "road" problem seemed to follow him to Fayetteville too. I'm glad he's gone.

Beard does look like a stud. Gotta love that smooth left handed shot. I heard he tore it up at the CP3 camp. Made it to the finals in 1-on-1. Best PG camp in the country. He'll be a good replacement for Phil Pressey. He's also AAU teammates with Leron Black. A top 20 recruit who visited Mizzou with Anton recently.

Seems like our staff is making a lot of solid connections.

Mike Anderson rebuilt your dead program, remember that? And he's got two years to flip Beard. The hogs are on their way back. Anderson's teams got progressively worse here. Elite 8 in '09, 10 seed in '10, and barely made the tourney as an 11 seed in 2011. He flirted with other programs each year and a lot of Mizzou fans were grumbling about the lack of recruiting that was taking place.

I love the Arkansas fans saying Mike did this and Mike did that. Mike did nothing that Norm and Quin did not already do. They also took MU to an elite 8. Oh and Anton Beard is making another visit to CoMo this weekend LOL He saw Flip, Dixon playing ball at the CP3 camp and thought "I want to be like them, they ball, what they do in Fayettevill is garbage" Then he saw Coleman dominate at the same camp and said " Yeah that is my running mate. Oh and the thing that wont let him flip is MU offered 3 other of his AAU teammates as well as him on their visit to CoMo at the same time. He is not flipping for anything. Cant wait to run the piggies out of the gym, Flip, Dixon and Bowers know Anderson's system like the back of their hand. Which they have passed on to the staff and his system will never work at a 50/50 clip against MU. Because Haith will always have superior talent at MU than Anderson will have at Arky. Oh and Haith took the players left from Anderson who regressed the last 2 years record wise in his system to 30 wins last year w/o the teams second best player and being undersized all year.

I tell you what, that game at Mizzou arena next year against them is going to be intense! Can't wait to be there. We all know how well Anderson's teams play on the road (see 2011 Mizzou).

I really hope we don't boo him when he is introduced. Needs to be quiet as church. I want him to know we are happy with how things turned out. That game will be a blowout. Pressey and Dixon will destroy that press.

I will say this, BJ Young is a very impressive player for them. Of course Anderson had no interest of recruiting him to Missouri. I agree about the silence, would be way better than raucous booing imo.

Mike Anderson came into a very tough situation and brought Tiger BBall back from the dead. That said, he left at the right time. He left shortly before the signing period and had no commitments. After Anderson left Kim English said he was going to transfer rather than play one more season for him. It appeared he knew he was leaving and it showed the way the team played at the end of the season. It is ironic that he did not recruit B J Young from St Louis who is now his best player because Young had attitude problems. The "40 minutes of Hell" was fun but it was also the worst defensive basketball I can ever remember seeing as a long time Tiger fan. This will be a fun rivalry. I hope Anton Beard makes it to Columbia but anyone who has followed recruiting knows that verbal commitments are too often broken.

Mizzou verbal commit Coleman decommits. As much as I enjoy recruiting it is never a done deal until the name is on the LOI and they are enrolled. This is the 3rd decommit from CHaith in his short time at Mizzou. Two decommits had verballed with two years of high school left.

Hog you do realize there is pretty much zero chance beard goes to Arkansas. His high school coach hates the hogs with a passion and actively tries to push recruits out of state
